Father and Son duo awarded for service and leadership
On Wednesday, February 7, The Foundation Assisting Seniors held their Annual Appreciation Dinner, where they awarded their 2017 Person of the Year. This was the first time in the history of the organization that the annual award was given to two recipients. Ken and Frank Moser, a father and son duo, accepted the award for Persons of the Year.
Frank and Ken were recognized for their dedicated leadership and outstanding service for The Foundation. In 2017 alone, they completed over 100 individual assists for Solera’s Neighbors Assisting Neighbors and volunteered six hours a day, two days a week to assist seniors where needed.
“We are extremely grateful to have Frank and Ken as volunteers for the Foundation,” said Carol Chapman, president of The Foundation Assisting Seniors. “Their dedication to aiding local seniors is unsurpassed. They continue to inspire those around them to volunteer and we congratulate them on this honor.”
Both Frank and Ken have a passion for volunteerism, and love being able to spend quality time together while helping others. Ken, who spent most of his career as an executive chef in New York and California, regularly volunteers his cooking expertise for
The Foundation’s fundraisers.
Frank and Ken continue to provide leadership in their roles as volunteers. In February 2018, Ken was unanimously elected by the Foundation’s Board of Directors to serve the organization as executive vice president.
