The Foundation Assisting Seniors relies upon the generosity of its donors, small and large, to be able to provide assistance to the senior community in times of illness, recovery, confinement at home, coping with loss of a loved one, and other senior challenges, as well as to provide assistance with everyday tasks such as household maintenance.Services and durable medical equipment (DME) are available to all seniors (50+). Since 2002, FAS has responded to more than 260,000 requests for assistance and services. The HOWRU© program has saved seven lives. How It Works
Rules require minimum distributions for those over 70 ½.
Qualified Charitable Distributions can only occur after turning 70 ½, not for the year turning 70 ½.
You may transfer up to $100,000 per year directly from your IRA to a qualified nonprofit charity. FAS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit benefit corporation.
