A Message from Our President & CEO

Dear Friends,

A golf tournament lasts only one day, but the impact can be felt throughout the year.

On May 18 at Anthem Country Club, sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and community partners came together for our 22nd Annual Stars & Stripes Golf Tournament. It was a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community unites around a common purpose. While the tournament itself has ended, the generosity shown that day will continue helping seniors throughout the Las Vegas Valley for many months to come.

Every day, our office receives calls from individuals recovering from surgery, families caring for aging parents, and seniors facing unexpected mobility challenges. Many are searching for something as simple as a walker, wheelchair, shower chair, or hospital bed—equipment that can make the difference between struggling at home and recovering safely with dignity.

What often strikes me most is how quickly life can change. A fall, an illness, or a hospital stay can suddenly create challenges that families never expected. In those moments, the right equipment becomes more than a medical device—it becomes a lifeline.

That is why the work of Foundation Assisting Seniors continues long after the applause from a successful event fades. Every piece of equipment we provide represents greater safety, peace of mind, and support for seniors and their families.

As we move into the summer months, I am reminded that our mission is made possible by an extraordinary community of supporters. Whether you volunteer, donate equipment, make a contribution, attend an event, or refer someone in need, you help ensure that older adults throughout our community have access to the support they need to remain independent.

On behalf of everyone at Foundation Assisting Seniors, thank you for believing in our mission and for standing with us as we continue serving our neighbors. Together, we are helping seniors age with dignity, recover safely, and remain in the place they most want to be—home.

With gratitude,

What Is the HowRUTM Wellness Call Program?

Foundation Assisting Seniors' HowRUTM Wellness Call Program helps older adults remain safe, connected, and independent at home.

Each day, participating seniors receive an automated phone call asking a simple question: "How are you?" If a call goes unanswered or assistance is needed, designated contacts are notified so someone can check on their well-being.

Over the years, the program has helped identify urgent situations that may otherwise have gone unnoticed, resulting in 14 documented life-saving interventions.

The HowRUTM Wellness Call Program is a simple but powerful reminder that sometimes one daily call can make all the difference.

To learn more about the program or enroll a loved one, please contact Foundation Assisting Seniors at (725) 244-4200.

Because our equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and reused whenever possible, many of these items will continue serving seniors throughout the Las Vegas Valley for years to come.
